Located in Pleasant Valley, at the base of California’s Coast Range Mountains, Coalinga is in Fresno County, consistently one of the top producing agricultural counties in the nation.

Coalinga will be the home California’s newest State Hospital beginning in 2004. The new state hospital will started construction in the Summer of 2001 and be completed in Fall of 2004 and will comprise 1,148,851 gross square feet of floor space. The 1500 bed hospital will generate over two thousand jobs, and will be the areas largest employer.
